This policy explains what information Claro Therapy (Mayra Ruelas-Ramirez, LMFT) collects through this website, clarotherapy.com, and how it is used. It covers the website only. If you become a client, your health information is protected under HIPAA and described in the Notice of Privacy Practices you receive when you start care.

Information you choose to share

When you send a consultation request through the contact form, we collect what you enter:

• Your name, email address, and phone number
• The service you’re interested in, preferred language, session format, and how you plan to pay
• Anything you write in the optional message box

Please don’t include health details in the form. We can talk about those privately during your consultation. If you email or call instead, we receive whatever you include in that message.

Information collected automatically

Like most websites, our hosting provider keeps standard server logs, such as your IP address, browser type, pages visited, and the time of your visit. These are used to keep the site secure and working. This site does not use advertising, analytics, or tracking cookies.

How we use your information

• To respond to your request and schedule a free consultation
• To keep a record of inquiries so no one falls through the cracks
• To keep the website secure and running

We do not sell, rent, or trade your information, and we don’t use it for marketing.

Who can see it

Form submissions are delivered to Mayra Ruelas-Ramirez’s practice email and saved to a private spreadsheet, both on Google Workspace. Only Mayra Ruelas-Ramirez has access. We share information only when required by law or to protect someone’s safety.

How long we keep it

Inquiries are kept as long as needed to follow up with you, and deleted when no longer needed. If you become a client, your records are kept as required by California law.

Security

The website uses an encrypted (HTTPS) connection, and inquiries are stored in password-protected accounts. No method of sending information over the internet is completely secure, which is why we ask you not to include health details in the form.

Links to other sites

This site links to directories and platforms such as Psychology Today, Alma, Headway, Grow Therapy, and Latinx Therapy. Their own privacy policies apply when you visit them.

Do Not Track

Because this site doesn’t track visitors across other websites, it doesn’t change its behavior in response to browser “Do Not Track” signals.

Children

This website is not directed to children under 13. Parents or guardians may contact us about therapy for a child.

You can ask to see, correct, or delete the information you sent through this website by contacting us below.

Changes to this policy

If this policy changes, we’ll post the new version here and update the effective date above.
